Though it seems to you to be unclear, |

I already see a broad path ahead. You are saying
that it is over there, but it is already before you. |

この日柄 いつのことやと 思うている
五月五日に 確か出て来る |

|
When do you think this day will come?
On the fifth of the fifth month, it will definitely appear.

それよりも おっかけ始まる これを見よ
夜昼知れん ようになるぞや |

|
Then a thanksgiving pilgrimage will begin.
Look for it. People will come whether it be night or day.
|

段々と 六月になる ことならば
証拠守りを すると思えよ |
|

|
By and by, when the sixth month comes,
know that I shall grant the Proof Amulet. |

それからは 段々普請 急き込んで
何か忙し ことになるなり |

After that, I shall hasten the construction step by step,
and it will become busy in all matters. |

これからは 神の心 日々（にちにち）に
急き込みあると 思いこそ知れ |

|
From now on, the mind of God will hasten day by day.
Be aware of it. |

いかほどの 多く急き込み あるとても
口では何も 云うでないぞや |

|
No matter how great My haste may be,
I shall say nothing by word of mouth. |

この先は 多く見えてくる 人ゞを
早く知らして おこと思えど |
|

|
I wish to let you know quickly of the many people
that will come in the future. |

段々と 珍し人が 見えてある
誰が目えにも これが見えんか |

|
I see new faces coming one after another.
Is there no one who can see them with his own eyes? |

これからの 後なる話し やまやまの
道を見ていよ 珍しき道 |

|
Watch this marvelous path.
There will be a mountain of stories about it from now on. |

面白や 多くの人が 集まりて
天の与えと 云うて来るぞや |

How delightful it will be! So many people will assemble,
coming to ask for the gifts of heaven. |

日々に 身の障りつく また来たか
神の待ちかね これを知らすに |

Day by day, disorders will befall you, and you will come again.
But no one knows how impatiently God waits. |

段々と つとめの人衆 手が揃い
これを合図に 何も出かける |

Step by step, the performers of the Service will all assemble.
Taking this as a sign, I shall begin all My workings. |

日々に 神の心は 段々と
上の心に 早く見せたら |

Day after day, I desire to make the mind of God quickly
known to the minds of the high places step by step. |

上たるは 何も知らずに 唐人を
従う心 これがおかしい |

|
Knowing nothing, those in high places obey those of Kara.
How pitiful are such minds. |

日々に 神の心の 急き込みは
唐人ころり これを待つなり |
|

|
Day after day, the mind of God impatiently awaits
those of Kara to replace their minds entirely. |

今までの 牛の先道 思うて見よ
上たるところ皆な 気をつけよ |
|

|
Remember what followed the epidemic of the cows in the past.
Let all of you in high places beware. |

これさいか 皆な見え来たる ことならば
世界の心 皆な勇み来る |
|

|
If only all of this comes to be seen,
all the minds of the world will be spirited. |

何にても 世界の心 勇むなら
神の心も 勇むなり |

|
If the minds of the world are spirited in all matters,
the mind of God, also, will be spirited. |

今日の日は いかなる道と 思うかな
珍しことが 見えて来るぞや |

What do you think the path of today is about?
Marvelous things will come into sight. |

段々と 何かのことも 見えて来る
いかなる道も 皆な楽しめよ |

Step by step, all things will come into sight.
Whatever your path may be, take delight in it all. |

日々に 陽気づとめの 手がつけば
神の楽しみ いかほどのこと |

If the hand movements of the Joyous Service are learned day by day,
how delighted God will be. |

早々と つとめの人衆 待ちかねる
傍な心は 何を思うや |

I impatiently await the performers of the Service to gather quickly.
What are you close to Me thinking? |

いかなるの 病いと云うて ないけれど
身に障りつく 神の用向き |

|
Nothing should be called illness.
Should your body be affected , it is God’s call for your service. |

用向きも 何のことやら 一寸知れん
神の思惑 やまやまのこと |

This call for your service might not easily be understood,
for the thoughts of God are mountainous. |

何もかも 神の思惑 何にても
皆な説いたなら 心勇むで |
|

|
If all the thoughts of God about everything are taught to you,
your minds will be spirited. |
| ４．２８ |
段々と 何も思惑 説ききれば
身の内よりも すずやかになる |
|

|
When I have taught you all of My thoughts step by step,
your bodies, too, will be refreshed. |

また先の 陽気づとめを 待ちかねる
何んのことなら 神楽つとめや |

Again, I impatiently await the coming Joyous Service.
What it is, is the Kagura Service. |

世界中 多くの人で あるけれど
神の心を 知りたる者なし |

Though there are many people throughout the world,
there is no one who knows the mind of God. |

このたびは 神の心の 真実を
何か委細を 皆な教えるで |

|
This time, I shall teach you in detail
all of the truth in the mind of God. |

何にても 神一条を 知りたなら
唐に負けそな ことはないぞや |

|
In all matters, if you come to know the truth of single-heartedness
with God, you will never be overcome by Kara. |

この先は 唐と日本を すみやかに
段々分ける 模様ばかりを |
|

|
Hereafter, My only concern will be the preparations quickly
to distinguish between Kara and Nihon step by step. |

これさいか 早く分かりた ことならば
神の残念 晴れることなり |

If only this distinction is made quickly,
the regret of God will be cleared away. |

真実の 神の残念 晴れたなら
世界の心 皆な勇み出る |

|
If the regret of God in Truth is cleared away,
all minds in the world will be spirited. |

段々と 世界中を 真実に
助ける模様 ばかりするぞや |

|
Step by step, I am solely making preparations truly
to save the whole world. |

その後は 病まず死なずに 弱らずに
心次第に いつまでもいよ |

After that, you may stay as long as you wish,
without illness, death, or weakening. |

また先は 年限たちた ことならば
年を寄るめは 更にないぞや |

|
Further, after the passage of long years,
there will be no aging at all. |

今までは 何の事でも 知れなんだ
これから先は 皆な教えるで |

Until now, you have known nothing,
but from now on I shall teach you everything. |

今までは 皆なの心と 内なるの
心がおおい 違いなれども |

|
At present, the minds of all, as well as the minds
of those within, are greatly mistaken. |

明日にちは 何でも頼み かけるでな
神一条に つかねばならん |

|
From tomorrow on, I shall begin to request anything of you.
You must follow the words of God. |

日々に 身に障りつく 得心せ
心違いを 神が知らする |
|

|
Day by day, disorders will come to your bodies. Ponder over it!
God is informing you of your mistaken minds. |

銘々の 身の内よりも 思案して
心定めて 神にもたれよ |

|
Each of you, after pondering over the body,
resolve the mind and lean on God. |
| ４．４４ |
何にても 神の思惑 深くある
傍なる者は それを知らずに |
|

|
The thoughts of God about all matters are profound,
but you close to Me are unaware of this. |

今日までは 何よの道も 見えねども
早く見えるで 思案定めよ |
|

|
Until today, you have not been able to see any path whatever.
It can be seen quickly. Ponder and resolve. |
| ４．４６ |
この道を 早く知らせと 思えども
悟りがのうて これが難し |
|

|
Though I wish to have you know this path quickly,
it is difficult because there is no understanding. |
| ４．４７ |
段々と 筆に知らして あるけれど
悟りがないのが 神の残念 |
|

|
Though I have made it known by My writing brush step by step,
your lack of understanding is the regret of God. |

何にても 神の云うこと しかと聞け
皆な銘々の 心次第や |
|

|
In everything, listen closely to the words of God.
Everything depends on the mind of each of you. |

真実に 心勇んで 思案して
神にもたれて 陽気づとめを |

|
Truly be spirited and ponder.
Then lean on God and do the Joyous Service. |

この話し 何のことやと 思うなよ
肥え一条の 話しなるぞや |

Do not wonder what this talk is about.
It is solely about the matter of the fertilizer. |

肥えやとて 何が効くとは 思うなよ
心のまこと 真実が効く |

This fertilizer: do not wonder what is effective.
The mind’s true sincerity is its effectiveness. |

真実の 心見定め ついたなら
いかな守護も すると思えよ |

|
When I have discerned your mind of sincerity,
know that I shall provide any protection. |

しかと聞け よろづのことを 皆な教え
どこに隔ては 更にないぞや |

|
Listen closely! I teach all things to everyone.
I do not discriminate among any of you ever. |

どのような ところの人が 出てきても
皆な因縁の ものであるから |

|
People come to Me from whatever places.
It is because they all are of the original causality. |

人間を 始め出したる 屋敷なり
その因縁で 天下りたで |

|
This is the Residence where I began human beings.
Because of this causality, it is here that I descended. |

この先は 世界中を 一列に
助け守護うを 皆な教えるで |

|
Hereafter, I shall teach all about My workings for
the salvation of everyone throughout the world. |

段々と よろづ助けを 皆な教え
唐と日本を 分けるばかや |

|
I shall teach all about universal salvation step by step,
and solely distinguish between Kara and Nihon. |

日々に 唐と日本を 分ける道
神の急き込み これが一条 |
|

|
Day after day, the path that distinguishes between Kara and Nihon:
this is the single intent of God’s hastening. |
| ４．５９ |
この道を 早く分けたる ことならば
後のよろづは 神のままなり |
|

|
If this path is quickly distinguished,
everything will proceed as God intends. |
| ４．６０ |
今日の日は 何か珍し 始め出し
よろづ因縁 皆な付いて来る |

|
Today is the beginning of marvelous things.
All of you will come along with Me because of the original causality. |

因縁も 多くの人で あるからに
どこに隔ては あると思うな |

|
About causality: though people are numerous,
never think that I discriminate among any of you. |

この世うを 初めた神の ことならば
世界一列 皆な我が子なり |

To God, who began this world, all of you in the world
are equally My beloved children. |

一列の 子供が可愛い それゆえに
いろいろ心 尽くしきるなり |

Because of My love for all My children,
I exhaust My mind in every kind of way. |

このことも 何も教えて 早々と
神の心の 急き込みを見よ |

|
I desire to teach everything to you children quickly.
Take notice of this hastening in the mind of God! |

段々と 子供の出世 待ちかねる
神の思惑 こればかりなり |

|
I want impatiently for My children to awaken to the truth.
There is nothing else in the thoughts of God. |

子供さえ 早く表へ 出したなら
唐を日本の 地いにするなり |

If I can only bring My children out into the open,
I shall change Kara into Nihon. |

真実に 子供の心 しかとせよ
神の心は 急くばかりやで |

Make your minds truly firm, all My children!
The mind of God only hastens. |

Day after day, God hastens in agony.
Please, quickly make preparations for salvation. |

内なるは 上を思うて いづみいる

Thinking of the high places, those of you within are depressed.
But fear not, for God assures you. |

今迄と 道が代わりて ある程に
早く急き込み 往還の道 |

The path already differs from what it once was.
Hurry Hasten to the broad path! |

この道は 何時のことやと 思ている
早く出てみよ もう今のこと |

|
You are wondering when this path will come.
Come out quickly, now is the time! |

段々と 筆に知らして ある程に
早く心に 悟りとるよう |

|
Step by step, I have informed you by My writing brush.
Quickly awaken your mind to it! |

これさいか 早く悟りが ついたなら
身の内悩み すずやかになる |

|
If you only come to understand this quickly,
your sufferings of the body will be cleared away. |

つとめでも 始め手踊り 又神楽
一寸の細道 つけてあれども |

|
About the Service: first the Teodori, then the Kagura.
Thus, I have opened just a narrow path. |

段々と 草が茂りて 道知れず
早く本道 つける模様を |
|
道諭し |
|
But weeds have gradually grown thick and the path is obscure.
Quickly, the preparations to open the main path! |

日々に 心勇んで 急き込めよ
早く本道 つけたことなら |
|

|
Day after day, hasten with spirited minds.
If only the main path be quickly opened… |
| ４．７７ |
真実に この本道が ついたなら
末は頼もし 陽気づくめや |
|

|
When this main path is truly opened,
thereafter you will lead a life full of joy and promise. |

村方は なおも助けを 急いでいる
早く思案を してくれるよう |

Even more do I hasten to save the villagers.
Please ponder quickly! |

世界中 神のたあには 皆な我が子
一列は皆な 親と思えよ |

To God, people throughout the world are all My children.
All of you equally, know that I am your Parent! |

世界中 説教として 始めかけ
説いて聞かする 聞きに行くなり |

Throughout the world, I have begun what is known as sermons.
When they are delivered, you may go and hear them. |

いかほどに 見えたることを 云うたとて
元を知らねば 分かるめはなし |

Whatever may be said about things already seen,
unless the origin is known, there can be no understanding. |

段々と ないことばかりを 云うておいて
それ出たならば これがまことや |

Step by step, I shall tell you solely about things unknown.
When they appear, you will know that it is the truth. |

一列に 神にもたれる この子供
早く表へ出でる 模様せよ |

All of you children who lean on God, quickly
make preparations to go out into the open. |

真実に 表へ出ようと 思うなら
心しづめて 芯を訪ねよ |

If you truly desire to go out into the open,
calm your mind and seek the core. |

この子供 真実よりも 胸の内
見定めつけば いかな模様も |

You children, when the innermost heart has been truly ascertained,
you shall have all My arrangements. |

日々に 神の心は 急き込めど
子供の心 分かりないので |

|
Though the mind of God hastens day after day,
there is no understanding in the minds of you children. |

子供でも 一寸の人では ないからに
多くの胸が 更に分からん |

With My children, as their number is not small,
there are so many whose heart is yet without understanding. |

今までは 学問なぞと 云うたとて
見えてないこと 更に知るまい |

|
Even until now, though people speak highly of a thing called learning,
no one knows of things yet unseen. |

この先は 見えてないこと 段々と
よろづのことを 皆な説いておく |

Hereafter, I shall teach you any and all things
yet unseen, step by step. |

これからは この世始めて ないつとめ
段々教え 手をつけるなり |

From now on, step by step, I shall teach you the Service
unknown since this world began and train you in its hand movements. |

このつとめ 世界中の 助け道
おしでもものを 云わすことなり |

This Service is the path of salvation for the entire world.
I shall enable even a mute to speak. |

日々に つとめの人衆 しかとせよ
心しづめて 早く手をつけ |

Be firm day after day, you performers of the Service!
Calm your minds and learn the hand movements quickly! |

このつとめ 何のことやと 思うている
世界治めて 助けばかりを |

What do you think this Service is about?
It is solely to bring peace to the world and salvation to all. |

この道が 確か見えたる ことならば
病の根えは 切れてしまうで |

|
When this path is clearly seen,
the root of illness will be cut off entirely. |

真実の 心次第に いずかたも
いかな守護も せんとは云わんで |

According to your mind of sincerity,
I deny My protection to no one, whoever you may be. |

今の道 神の急き込み 内なるは
案じないぞや しかと見ていよ |

About the present path: God is hastening.
Those of you within need not worry. Watch carefully! |

これまでと 道が代わると 云うてある
神は違うた ことは云わんで |

I have already told you the path will be changed from
what it was until now. There is no mistake in what God says. |

この先は 神の心の 急き込みを
口ではどうも 云うに云われん |

|
Hereafter, I shall not be able to tell you of this growing impatience
in the mind of God, even should I so desire. |

いかほどに 難しことと 云うたとて
説かずにいては 分かるめはなし |

However difficult it may be, if things are left untold,
there will be no chance of understanding. |

日々に 神の思惑 段々と
説いておくぞや これ聞いてくれ |

Day by day and step by step, I shall teach you
the thoughts of God. Please listen to Me. |

この道は 何か難し 珍しい
道であるぞや 確か見ていよ |

This path may be somewhat difficult, but it is marvelous indeed.
Watch it carefully. |

この道を 通り抜けたら その先は
唐は日本の 地いにしてある |

|
After you have completed taking this path,
Kara will have become part of Nihon. |
| ４．１０３ |
唐の地を 日本の地いに したならば
これ末代の 行き通りなり |
|

|
When Kara becomes Nihon,
this will be the passage to eternal joy. |

この世うを 納も上 天も神
上と神との 心分けるで |
|

|
The high places rule this world, but Heaven is also high.
I shall make a distinction between the minds of the high places
and the mind of God. |

段々と 見えんことをば 云いをいて
先で見えたら これが神やで |
|

|
Step by step, I shall tell you about things yet unseen.
When they come into sight in the future, it is God! |
| ４．１０６ |
いかほどに 見えたることを 云うたとて
先で見えねば 分かりあるまい |
|

|
No matter what people say about things already seen,
if what is said is not seen in the future, perhaps there is
no understanding. |
| ４．１０７ |
これからは 世界中の 胸の内
上下ともに 分けて見せるで |
|

|
From now on, I shall bring understanding by making a distinction
in the innermost hearts or both the high and the low all over the world.
|

これを見よ 世界も内も 隔てない
胸の内より 掃除するぞや |
|

|
Watch! I shall cleanse the innermost hearts of
those within and all others in the world without discrimination. |

この掃除 難しことで あるけれど
病いと云うは ないと云うておく |
|

|
This cleansing will be a difficult matter,
but I say to you beforehand: there is nothing to be called illness. |

どのような 痛み悩みも でけものや
熱も下りも 皆な埃やで |
|

|
Whatever pains, sufferings, tumors, fevers,
or looseness of the bowels: all are from dust. |
| ４．１１１ |
この世うを 初めてからに 何もかも
上へ教えたことはあるまい |
|

|
Not since I began this world have I taught
everything to those in high places. |
| ４．１１２ |
このたびは 何かよろづを 上たるへ
知らしておいた ことであるなら |
|

|
This time, if I should inform those in high places
about the truth of any and all matters, |

それからは 中には思案 するもあり
皆な寄り寄うて 話ししたなら |
|

|
Then, some among them may ponder.
And if they all gather and speak to one another, |

その中に 真実心 頼もしい
思うて思案 する者もある |
|

|
Some among them will understand and truly
feel hopeful over the teachings. |

この道を 上へ通りた ことならば
神の自由よう すぐに表わす |
|

|
When this path reaches through to the high places,
God will reveal free and unlimited workings at once. |

この世うを 始めた神の 自由を
見せたることは 更にないので |
|

|
I have not yet shown you any of the free and
unlimited workings of God, who began this world. |

何にても 知らん間は そのままや
神の自由よう 知らしたるなら |
|

|
In everything, as long as you know nothing, you remain as you are.
But if I let you know of God’s free and unlimited workings, |
| ４．１１８ |
これ聞いて 皆な一列は 思案せよ
何かよろづは 心次第や |
|

|
On hearing of it, all of you in the world must ponder.
Any and all matters are according to the mind. |
| ４．１１９ |
今日の日は 何が見えるや ないけれど
六月を見よ 皆な出かけるで |
|

|
Today, nothing can be seen, but be watchful!
In the sixth month, everything will begin to appear. |

今までは 高い山やと 云うてある
谷底にては 意見ばかりを |
|

|
Until now, the high mountains have been boastful
while the low valleys withered. |
| ４．１２１ |
これからは 高山にても 谷底も
元始まりを 云うて聞かする |

|
From now on, I shall teach both the high mountains
and the low valleys about the beginnings of origin. |
| ４．１２２ |
この世うの 始まりだしは 泥の海
その中よりも どじょうばかりや |
|

|
The beginning of this world was a muddy ocean.
Therein were only loaches. |
| ４．１２３ |
このどじょう 何のことやと 思うている
これ人間の 種であるぞや |
|

|
What do you think these loaches were?
They were the very seeds of human beings. |
| ４．１２４ |
このものを 神が引き上げ 食うてしもて
段々守護う 人間と為し |
|

|
God drew them up and consumed them all, and through
providence brought them up into human beings step by step. |
| ４．１２５ |
それよりも 神の守護と 云うものは
並大抵の ことでないぞや |
|

|
From that time on, God’s providence has been
by no means an easy matter. |
| ４．１２６ |

Until now, to God’s regret, Nihon has been dominated,
obeying those of Kara. |

この返し 神の働き これを見よ
如何なものでも 真似はでけまい |

Watch the workings of God given in return!
No one will be able to imitate Me, whoever one may be. |

いかほどの 強敵来たると 云うたとて
神が退く これかなうまい |

No matter how strong they may be,
if God should withdraw, they will be powerless. |

何にても 皆な一列は この通り
神が自由よう すると思えよ |

It is the same as this for everyone in all matters.
Know that God will work freely and unlimitedly. |

思案せよ 若い年寄り 弱きでも
心次第に いかな自由よう |

|
Ponder well! No matter how young, old, or weak you may be,
I shall give you My free and unlimited workings according to your mind. |

今までも 同じ暮らしで 至るとも
神の自由よう 知りた者なし |

Even until now, though you have lived in the same way,
none of you has known of God’s free and unlimited workings. |

これからは よろづのことを 皆な説くで
心違いの ないようにせよ |

From now on, I shall teach you about any and all matters.
Make certain you make no errors of the mind. |
