When the minds of the world are spirited step by step,

今までは 何よのことも 分かりない

Until now, you have understood nothing,
but from now on you will see wondrous signs.

来ん者に 無理に来いとは 云うでなし
つき来るならば いつまでも良し |

I do not force you to come along if you do not wish to,
but if you should, you will be blessed forever. |

これからは 水に例えて 話する
澄むと濁りで 悟るなり |

From now on, I shall speak in the metaphor of water.
Be enlightened by the words “clear” and “muddy”.

真実に 神の心の 急き込みは
真の柱を 早く入れたい |

Truly, the hastening in the mind of God
is to put in the central pillar quickly. |

この柱 早く入れよと 思えども
濁りの水で ところ分からん |

Though I desire to put in the pillar quickly,
I cannot find where to put it because of the muddy water. |

この水を 早く澄ませる 模様だて
すいのと砂に かけて澄ませよ |

|
Arrange to clear this water quickly.
Purify it by using a filter and sand. |

このすいの どこにあるやと 思うなよ
胸と口とが 砂とすいのや |

Do not wonder where this filter can be found.
Your heart and mouth are the sand and filter. |

この話し 速やか悟り ついたなら
そのまま入れる 真の柱を |

If you quickly understand this talk,

柱さえ しっかり入れた ことならば
この世確かに 治まりがつく |

If only the pillar is firmly established,
the whole world will truly settle. |

この話し 悟りばかりで あるほどに
これ悟りたら 証拠試しや |

This talk requires only your enlightenment.
With enlightenment will come tested proof. |

この世うの 人間始め 元の神
誰も知りたる 者はあるまい |

I am God of Origin, who began the human beings of this world.
Yet there may be no one who knows Me. |

泥海の 中より守護 教え掛け
それが段々 盛んなるぞや |

I began to teach My providence in the muddy ocean,
and you have come to prosper step by step. |

このたびは 助け一条 教えるも
これもないこと 始めかけるで |

|
This time, I teach single-hearted salvation,
beginning once more that which never existed. |

今までに ないこと始め かけるのは
元拵えた 神であるから |

|
I began things which have never existed,
because I am God, who made the origin. |

日々に 神の話しが やまやまと
つかえてあれど 説くに説かれん |

Day after day, the words of God pile up mountainously,
stuck in My throat. I cannot speak them, though I so desire. |

何にても 説かれんことは ないけれど
心澄まして 聞く者はない |

|
There is nothing that I cannot teach, but
there is no one who listens with a purified mind. |

速やかに 心済まして 聞くならば
よろづの話し 皆な説き聞かす |

If you quickly purify your mind and listen,
I shall give you all of My teachings on everything. |

この世うの 確か験(ため)しが かけてある
これに間違い ないと思えよ |

I have put them to a test of certainty in this world.
Be convinced that there is no error. |

この験し 速やか見えた ことならば
いかな話しも 皆なまことやで |

If this test is quickly seen, you will understand that
My words are always true. |

何もかも いかな話しも 説くほどに
何を云うても 嘘と思うな |

I shall teach you on any and every matter.
Never take it to be false, whatever I may say. |

目えに見えん 神の云うこと 為すことは
何をするとも 一寸に知れまい |

It may be difficult to understand the sayings
and workings of God, whom you cannot see. |

早々と 見える話しで あるほどに
これが確かな 証拠なるぞや |

But My teachings can be seen quickly.
This will be the proof that cannot be denied. |

これを見て 何を聞いても 楽しめよ
いかな話しも 皆なこの通り |

When you see this, be pleased with whatever you hear.
All of My teachings proceed in this way. |

人の物 借りたるならば 利が要るで
早く返済 礼を云うなり |

If you have borrowed something from another,
you will need to pay interest.
Return it quickly with a word of thanks. |

You are mistaking your child’s crying at night.
It is not a child’s cry; it is God’s persuasion. |

As God desires to inform you quickly,
you must understand whatever occurs. |

親々の 心違いの ないように
早く思案を するがよいぞや |

Lest there be any error in the minds of you parents,
you had better ponder quickly. |

If you are truly of a mind to save others,
there is no need for the persuasion of God. |

銘々に 今さえ良くば 良きことと
思う心は 皆な違うでな |

The thought that all is well if the present is well for the self alone,
is entirely mistaken. |

てがけから いかな大道 通りても
末の細道 見えてないから |

However broad a path you may have set out on,
you do not see the narrow path that is in your future. |

人間は あざないもので あるからに
末の道筋 更に分からん |

As you human beings are shallow,
you can never see where your paths will lead in the future. |

今のこと 何も云うでは ないほどに
先の往還 道が見えるで |

Do not complain about your present situation.
A broad path will appear ahead of you. |

今の道 いかな道でも 嘆くなよ

Do not grieve over whatever path you are now on.

Words of flattery are unwanted.

This universe is the body of God.

All human bodies are things lent by God.
With what thought are you using them? |

助けでも 拝み祈祷で 行くでなし

This salvation is not brought about by formulas of worship,
or by exorcism, or by calling on oracles. |

At this place, I shall teach everything.
Be sigle-hearted with God, and from your innermost heart… |

分かるよう 胸の内より 思案せよ
人助けたら 我が身助かる |

Ponder from your innermost heart to understand.
Through saving others, you will be saved. |

高山は 世界一列 思うよう

The high mountains are doing as they please with the whole world,
but they cannot see the future. |

段々と 多く寄せたる この立ち木
用木になる ものはないぞや |

Step by step, I have gathered many trees,
but there is none yet that is useful timber. |

いかな木も 多く寄せては あるけれど
歪みかがみは これはかなわん |

Though I have gathered many and varied trees,
those bent or crooked are of no use. |

世界中 胸のうちより 真柱
神の急き込み 早く見せたい |
|
Sweeping the innermost heart of everyone in the world,
God is hastening to show the central pillar. |

世界中 胸の内より この掃除
神が箒(ほうき)や しかと見ていよ |
|
Throughout the world, God is the broom for the sweeping of the innermost
heart.
Watch carefully. |

From now on, God will go forth
and attend to the sweeping in the mountains. |

一列に 神が掃除を するならば

When God accomplishes the sweeping of all humankind,
you will be spirited and full of joy. |

何もかも 神が引き受け するからは
どんなことでも 自由よう自在を |

As it is God who undertakes all matters,
everything will be accomplished freely and unlimitedly. |

At this time, after purifying the water,
I desire quickly to take in the Shimbashira, who is to settle matters
within. |

高山の 真の柱は 唐人や

The central pillar of the high mountains is that of Kara.
This is the prime cause of the anger of God. |

上たるは 段々世界 ままにする

Those In high places are doing as they please with the world.
What thought is given to God’s regret? |

今までは 何を云うても 見えてない
もうこのたびは 精通が来た |

Until now, you have seen nothing I have told you.
Now at last, the time has come. |

これからは 陽気づとめに 又掛かる
何のことやら 一寸に知れまい |

From now on, I shall resume My hastening for the Joyous Service.
This might not be easy to understand. |

I have already told you and told you what is known to Me.
The teachings have been told, but you know not what they mean. |

これまでは いかな話しを 説いたとて
日が来足らんで 見えてないぞや |

Until now, you have not seen whatever I told you,
because the day had not arrived. |

これからは もう精通が 来たるから
云えばそのまま 見えて来るぞや |

From now on, as the time has come,
you will see it just as I tell you. |

しかと聞け 三六二五の くれあいに
胸の掃除を 神がするぞや |

Listen! In the evening of the twenty-fifth day in the thirty-sixth year,
God will cleanse your heart. |

思案せよ 何ぼ澄んだる 水やとて
泥を入れたら 濁ることなり |

Ponder this : no matter how clear the water may be,
if you put mud into it, it will become turbid. |

Unless the muddy water is purified quickly,
there is no way to put in the central pillar. |

If only the central pillar is quickly put in,

この世うを 始めた神の 真実を

God, who began this world, teaches the truth.
Never take it to be false. |

今までも 神学古記(こうき) あるけれど
元を知りたる 者はないぞや |

Even until now, there have been teachings, ethicaland ancient,
but there has been no one who knows the origin. |

その筈や 泥海中の 道すがら
知りたる者は ないはずのこと |

So should it be, for there should be no one who
knows the course of the path in the muddy ocean. |

これまでは この世始めて ないことを
段々説いて 聞かすことなり |

Step by step, I shall tell you things unknown
since the beginning of this world. |

何もかも ないことばかり 説くけれど
これに間違うた ことはないぞや |

Though I teach solely of things unknown,
there is nothing I teach that is untrue. |

十一に 九がなくなりて 真わすれ
正月二十 六日を待つ |
|
On the eleventh, the nine will be gone and hardship forgotten.
I await the twenty-sixth of the first Month. |

この間(あいだ) 真もつきくる 欲忘れ
人数揃うて つとめこしらへ |

By that time, the core will be settled and greed forgotten.
Let all performers assemble and prepare for the Service. |

日々に 神の心の 急き込みは
自由よう自在を 早く見せたい |

Day after day, the mind of God hastens to show
you free and unlimited workings quickly. |

これからは 人衆揃うて つとめする

From now on, the performers will assemble and do the Service.
This will truly settle Nihon. |

Since My aim is truly single-hearted salvation,
there is nothing at all for you to fear. |

何もかも 助け一条 止めるなら

If you dare to stop all works for single-hearted salvation,
the regret of God will appear as a disorder of the body. |

思案せよ よろづ助けの この模様
人間技と 更に思うな |

Ponder well! Never think that these preparations
for universal salvation are human workings. |

今までは 何かよろづが 分からいで
皆な人間の 心ばかりで |

Until now, you have not been able to understand anything.
There was nothing but human thinking. |

これからは 神の心と上たるの
心と心の 引き合わせする |

From now on, I shall compare the minds of
those in high places with the mind of God. |

この話し 一寸のことやと 思うなよ
神が真実 見かねたるゆえ |

Do not take this talk lightly.
God truly cannot bear to look on. |

これからは 神の力と 上たるの
力比べを すると思えよ |

Know that the strength of God will be pitted

Have your strongest come against Me.
God has twice the strength. |

As God in Truth is going out to the fore,
know that every arrangement will be made. |

Be aware of it, all of you. |

同じ木の 根枝との ことならば
枝は折れくる 根は栄え出る |

Root and branches of the same tree: branches will break,
yet the root will prosper. |

今までは 唐が偉いと 云うたれど
これから先は 折れるばかりや |

Until now, those of Kara were said to be great,
but from now on they will only be broken. |

日本見よ 小さいように 思うたれど
根が表われば 恐れいるぞや |

Look at Nihon! It is thought to be tiny,
but when the root appears, you will be overwhelmed with amazement. |

この力 人間技とは 思われん
神の力や これはかなわん |

This power cannot be thought of as being human strength.
It is the power of God which nothing can match. |

この世うは 賑わし暮らし しているけれど
元を知りたる 者はないので |

In this world, people are living merrily,
but there is no one who knows the origin. |

この元を 詳しく知りた ことならば
病いの起こる ことはないのに |

If this origin is known in detail,
there should be no cause for illness. |

何もかも 知らずに この子供
神の目えには いじらしきこと |

These children, living their lives knowing nothing,
pitiful are they in the eyes of God. |

何にても 病いと云うて 更になし
心違いの 道があるから |

There is nothing at all which should be called illness.
It is only because there are paths of the mistaken mind. |

この道は 惜しい欲しいと 可愛いと
欲と高慢 これが埃りや |

These paths are miserliness, covetousness, self-love, greed,
and arrogance. They are the dusts. |

この世うの 人間は皆な 神の子や
神の云うこと しかと聞き分け |

All human beings in this world are the children of God.
Listen and understand well the words of God! |

埃りさえ すきやか払うた ことならば
後は珍し 助けするぞや |

If only the dusts are cleanly swept away,
then I shall work marvelous salvation. |

真実の 心次第の この助け
病まず死なずに 弱りなきよう |

By this salvation given in accordance with the mind of sincerity,
you shall be freed from illness, death, and weakening. |

この助け 百十五歳 寿命と
定めつけたい 神の一条 |

By this salvation, to fix the natural term of life
at one hundred and fifteen years is the single desire of God. |

日々に 神の心の 急き込みを
傍なる者は 何と思うている |

Day after day, the mind of God hastens.
You who are close to Me, what are you thinking of it? |

上たるを 恐いと思うて いずみいる

For fear of those in high places, you are depressed.
Fear not, for God is hastening. |
3.103 |
胸悪しく これを病いと 思うなよ
神の急き込み 支(つか)えたるゆえ |

|
The tightness in your chest: do not take it as an illness.
It is the hastening of God being blocked. |

段々と 神の心と 云うものは
不思議表わし 助け急き込む |

Working miracles one after another,
the mind of God hastens for your salvation. |

この不思議 何のことやと 思うている
埃り払うて 掃除したてる |

What do you think those miracles are?
Sweeping the dust away, I shall complete the cleansing. |

後なるに 早く柱を 入れたなら
これでこの世の 定めつくなり |

Thereafter, the pillar will be quickly put in.
When it is done, the world will settle. |

この話し 早く見えたる ことならば
いかなものでも 皆な得心せ |

If you quickly see the truth of this talk, Become convinced, everyone,
whoever you may be. |

今までは 証拠験しと ゆえあれど
甘露う台も 何のことやら |

I have told you before about the test for proof,
but you do not even understand what the Kanrodai is about. |

この者を 四年以前に 迎え取り
神が抱きしめ これが証拠や |

Having received this one four years ago,
God is holding her in a tight embrace. This is the proof. |

真実に 早くかやする 模様だて
神の急き込み これが第一 |

Truly, the preparation to return her quickly
is the first matter in the hastening of God. |

これまでは 自由よう自在と まま説けど
何も見えたる ことはなけれど |

Until now, I have often told you about My free and unlimited workings,
but you have seen nothing yet. |

これからは いかな話しも 説きおいて
それ見えたなら 自由よう自在や |

From now on, I shall teach you everything beforehand.
When seen, you will understand that I work freely and unlimitedly. |

Please do not speak about things in the past.

The minds of human beings are indeed shallow.
You talk only about things already visible. |

Watch the future closely. |

見えたることは 更に云わんで |

I shall begin to tell you about whatever things step by step,

You are thinking that the present path is at the mercy of the high places,

Those in high places are doing as they please with all the world.

Until now, everything in the world has gone according to

Those in high places are thinking of the whole world on their own terms,

The trees which grow in the high mountains
and the trees which grow in the low valleys are all the same. |

人間は 皆な銘々に 神の貸し物や

All human bodies are things lent by God.

is solely to prepare to assemble useful timber. |

Though there are many and varied trees, perhaps
no one knows which will become useful timber. |

Of these timbers, it is not to be just a few.

どこが悪しきと 更に思うな |

Day by day, I shall tend those trees which are to become
My useful timber. Never take it to be illness. |

同じ木も 段々出入り するもあり
そのままこかす 木いもあるなり |

|
Among the trees, there will be some that I shall tend step by step
and others that I shall let fall as they are. |

いかなるの 自由よう自在の この験し
他なるとこで 更にせんぞや |
|
This test for proof of all of My free and unlimited workings,
I shall never do at any other place. |

今までも 験しと云うて いたけれど
もうこのたびは 験し納めや |

Until now, I have often taught you, saying that it is to be a test.
Now at this time, I shall end the test. |

段々と 何事も この世うは
神の体や 思案して見よ |

This universe is the body of God.
Ponder this in all matters. |

このたびは 神が表へ 出てるから
よろづのことを 皆な教えるで |

At this time, as God is openly revealed,
I shall teach you any and all things. |

銘々の 身の内よりの 借り物を
知らずにいては 何も分からん |

|
So long as you remain unknowing that the body is a thing borrowed,
you can understand nothing at all. |

思案せよ 病いというては 更になし
神の道教える 意見なるぞや |

Ponder over it! There is nothing at all which should be called illness.
It is but a road sign or an admonition from God. |

一寸したる 目えの悪しきも できものや
のぼせ痛みは 神の手引きや |

A slight ailment of the eyes, swellings, dizziness,
and pain are but the guidance of God. |

今までは 高い山やと 云うたとて
用木見えた ことはなけれど |

|
Until now, among the high mountains
no useful timber has yet appeared. |
3.141 |
この先は 高山にても 段々と
用木見出す 模様するぞや |

|
Hereafter, I shall make preparations to find useful timber
step by step even in the high mountains. |

一列に 早く助ける この模様
上下共に 心勇めて |

This preparation is for saving all humankind quickly.
I shall make the minds of both the high and the low be spirited. |

日々に 世界の心 勇むなら
ものの立毛は 皆な勇み出る |

|
If the minds of the world are spirited day after day,
the growth of all crops will be spirited, too. |

何にても 助け一条で あるからに
謀叛の根えを 早く切りたい |

Since My intent is single-hearted salvation in all matters,
I desire to cut off the root of rebellion |

今の道 埃りだらけで あるからに
箒(ほうき)用いて 掃除したて |

The present path is covered with dust.
Take up a broom and do the sweeping. |
3.146 |
後なるは 道は広くで 五目なし
いくたりなりと 連れて通れよ |

The path thereafter will be broad and clear.
Take along with you as many others as you wish. |

二二の二の 五つに話しかけ
よろづ因縁 皆な説き聞かす |

I shall begin to speak at five on the twenty-second of the second month
and teach you the causality of everything. |

高山の 説教聞いて 真実の
神の話を聞いて 思案せ |

After listening to the sermons of those on the high mountains,
listen to the teachings of God in Truth and ponder. |

日々に 神の話しを 段々と
聞いて楽しめ 古記なるぞや |
