フランス国歌「ラ・マルセイエーズ」（抜粋）
| この歌は当初、フランス革命の時に、フランス王ルイ16世によるオーストリアへの宣戦布告の知らせがストラスブールに届いた1792年4月25日から翌26日の夜にかけて、当地に駐屯していた工兵大尉ルージェ・ド・リール
(Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle) が一夜にして作詞作曲したものであり、このとき付けられたタイトルは『ライン軍のための軍歌』
(Chant de guerre pour l'armée du Rhin)
であった。その後、テュイルリー宮襲撃の際、パリ入城を果たしたマルセイユ義勇軍によって歌われたのをきっかけとして、現在の『ラ・マルセイエーズ』という名前になり、さらに1795年7月14日には国歌となった。
